#3: Hypnotic Rain

Hypnotic Rain is about how on the internet we use video platforms to watch hypnotic videos. These are commonly known as ASMR. When people are experiencing insomnia, we may turn on such kinds of videos to get relaxed or help us fall asleep. But these videos contain visual elements. This is quite strange—it’s somewhat of a paradox. People keep producing this kind of videos on the internet. Either the person speaks softly into the microphone, or features the sound of rain, a form of white noise. However most of these videos are accompanied by 3D images, or realistic footage of streets or forests. It often depicts scenes of rain. So I want to encapsulate the entire idea of internet hypnosis through this work.
