#5: Celestials

The Celestial part is very dear and very close to my heart. It is inspired by decorations of opera and theater that I was visiting when I was little, together with my mother. She is the other part of the inspiration of the series.

My mother is very intelligent, very educated woman who is admirer of art, everything visual and sonic, and she introduced me to that. But at the same time, she is also an avid admirer of everything shiny and sparkly. So, we both are very partial to Camp and kitsch and everything glittery.

So in the Celestials, I combine things that are inspired by heightened ideas of religion, heighten ideas of spirituality, together with aspects that are very close to my child self and my inner child.
